Do you offer a free plan?
Yes. The Free plan includes 10,000 requests per month.
Do you provide GeoIP and ASN data?
Yes. Every lookup can return both geolocation and ASN information.
Do you support IPv6?
Yes. Both IPv4 and IPv6 addresses are supported.
Is there a long-term contract?
No. All paid plans are month-to-month.
Is it easy to cancel?
Yes. You can cancel your paid plan anytime from your account. There are no long-term contracts or hidden cancellation fees.
Are payments secure?
Yes. Paid subscriptions are processed by Stripe. IPRout does not store full card numbers; Stripe handles payment details using secure, PCI-compliant billing infrastructure.
What is Advanced Active API Key Management?
It lets you assign named active keys to separate websites, applications, clients, or environments and monitor their usage independently. Starter supports 2 active keys and up to 5 exact browser origins per key. Pro supports 5 active keys, up to 10 origins per key, and a custom monthly cap from 100 to 1,000,000 requests when a key is created. All keys still consume the shared account allowance, and Starter key caps are fixed by the plan.
Can I prevent one website from using the entire API allowance?
On Pro, you can create a dedicated key for a website and give it a custom monthly request cap. When that key reaches its cap, it receives HTTP 429 while your other keys can continue if the account still has shared capacity. Starter provides separate active keys and usage visibility, but its key caps are fixed by the plan.
Do CORS restrictions make a browser API key secret?
No. Exact allowed origins reduce where browser requests are accepted, and origin-rejected lookups do not consume usage, but a key delivered to browser code can still be inspected. Use a dedicated restricted key with monitoring and an appropriate Pro cap, or keep confidential credentials in a server-side integration.
Can I test before creating an account?
Yes. Use the 7-Day Developer Key to evaluate the API with up to 1,000 requests over 7 days.
